Welcome to my portfolio. I'm an experienced Technical Illustrator, formally trained in Commercial Art (analog), with additional courses in Machine Drafting. My background is diverse, to include Technical Illustration, 3d Modeling, Texturing & Animation. I've worked in the industries of Technical Documentation, 3d ship handling simulation area and ship modeling and 3d animated films. USAF military service has given me an extensive technical background, specifically in F-15 Avionics Flight Control and Instrument Systems maintenance, which also included Field Training Detachment (FTD) Instructor duty for the same.     Technical Illustrator


    Lead Artist for top quality, high volume technical publication illustration teams. Multi-project setup of illustration process experience.


    Process focused illustration request system efficiency for highest possible accuracy, quality and rapid production, to include record of request, review, approval, change and correction actions.


    Documentation development to include illustration style guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to MilSpec and USN/USMC Style Guides for DoD Technical Manual projects. Documentation for all aspect of illustration process from ordering to delivery.


    3d CAD model cleanup and configuration, in order to facilitate efficient illustration ordering by writers and high quality line art extraction by illustrators.


    Illustration template creation using Adobe Illustrator and PTC Isodraw for multiple image sizes using spec standard fonts and custom arrowhead creation. Standardization of sweepout, magnified view and cutaway elements. Layers preset for illustrative efficiency.


    Location, Assembly and Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) drawings as well as signal flow and wiring diagrams. Process design for full support of word processor (i.e. MS Word) and IETM CSDB systems for vector and raster image requirements.


    High process efficiency level enabled Raytheon and SAIC illustration teams to produce over 7,000 client approved illustrations across multiple projects.
